Individual Requirements
Updated rules since December 6
An Airsoft gun - pretty self explanatory. Get what you want to use. You want to play with an m4, get an m4. Most of us use AEG's - Automatic Electric Guns; just charge the battery and you are ready to go. If you can't afford an AEG, it is possible to play with a sidearm like a gas pistol. Keep in mind you will have to buy the gas for that, since that is what 'powers' it. It will require you more effort to compete with enemies armed with AEG's, but it's doable. I've done it. A lot of us got good by practicing getting close with only a pistol first before we purchased a big gun. There is also gas and bolt action sniper rifles, but I recommend full auto since it will never be perfectly accurate. Ofc semi auto sniper rifles, with a lot of money put into them, work very well. If you can't afford a gun, you can rent one on the field. Both fields we play at provide rentals for 30 dollars on top of the field fee. price usually includes a ~1000 bb's, eye protection, and an automatic gun. Club might offer free guns for members to use.
Any and all clothing. This includes your camo, your boots, your gloves, shawls, turbans, balaclavas , ski-masks, etc. You MUST MUST MUST have some sort of fully protective eyewear. This is the most important part of airsoft. Without proper eyewear it is useless to even play, because if you get shot in the face, and you most likely will, then your eyesight will be gone.
BB's- If you are a trigger happy machine.... then you may need a lot of BB's, but never fear, they are not very expensive. I will have a list up later of what BB's we have in stock and how much they are. So be looking for that.
Gun gas. If you use a gas sniper rifle, or a gas sidearm, you gotta buy it yourself. Sorry. Its 30 dollars for 2 cans generally.
Gasoline. We might provide something like this in the future, but for now your transportation if you decide to drive is coming out of your own pocket. The field isnt that far away. If you drive other people, they should help you pay for it.
Tactical gear. Vests, holsters, backpacks, etc. Cool stuff that isnt part of your clothing. Blackhawk makes cool stuff, but I would check the Army and Navy store on Highway 41 first. I got a camelbak recently. It's nice to get a drink here and there during long games.
Semester club dues. It's $35 dollars per person per semester.
Food and water. Pretty simple. There is a lunch break in midday, and Sonic is right around the corner, so we'll probably go there. Good food, good times. Lots of people staring at you.
