What is the AMSA Advocacy Committee?

A comittee dedicated to educating and empowering individuals to be knowledgeable and concerned
about local, national and global healthcare issues

How does this happen?

Weekly meetings to plan the projects and discuss any current or
interesting healthcare issues

Semester Projects:

1. Fall – Global Health Education Week (5 different topics Monday through Friday and a Saturday Service Event)
2. Spring – Healthcare Reform Education Day (reforming any issues)

What are the benefits?

-Allows you to show your PASSION for health issues through
discussions as well as through teaching the campus about aspects of
healthcare
-Earns you AMSA membership points
-Builds up your RESUME if you are actively involved!
