Wingfield Semmes Memorial Scholarship was established to
honor the memory of Mr. Semmes, a 1910 Mechanical
Engineering graduate of Georgia Tech. In addition to
being an outstanding academic achiever, Mr. Semmes was
also a dedicated leader with a strong character and a
true love for Georgia Tech.
The Semmes Memorial Scholarship is given
to those qualified applicants who demonstrate academic
achievement, outstanding leadership qualities, a strong
character, and a true love for Georgia Tech. The
applicant must meet the following criteria:
Must be an undergraduate
engineering student as defined by the College of
Engineering
Junior or senior standing
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Full time student or co-op not graduating within
the year.
