The African Connections
This legal site which has been put together by three young Africans with the same dream and hope in uniting our people, being it Muslims, Christians, traditional ,English speaking , French speaking,Arabic speaking and all else we have in our Motherland.Their mission is to bring down this bridge of division and to instill in us the pride and the great culture that we have as AFRICANS. We can bring down this bridge by finding a platform and a common ground that we can learn about each others culture and treat each others with the respect we need . We all know that when we unite there is nothing we can't do, but when we stand by our lonesome our culture and heritage will be at risk of being erased.

Bikes to Rwanda
Bikes To Rwanda's aim is to provide cargo bicycles to co-operative coffee farmers in Rwanda. The goal is to improve quality of life in these communities through a bike workshop and maintenance program that provides transportation resources for basic needs and enhances production of quality coffee. There will be a bike race and spoke card art show on April 12th in which all proceeds will be donated to the Bikes To Rwanda organization, so this may also be a fun way to get involved as well. "We are in search of cyclists, and artists who would like to donate pieces to the art show, so if you know of anyone who would like to contribute, send them my way!"- Alyssa (Octane Coffee Bar & Lounge)

Truth & Reconciliation Commission of Liberia
The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Liberia (TRC) was established in 2005 with the mandate to investigate war crimes and to provide a forum for both victims and perpetrators of human rights violations to share their experiences in order to facilitate healing and reconciliation.
The purpose of this study is to determine the best design and to find potential problems before deployment. The topic for evaluation will not be directly related to the civil war, but instead users will be asked to exchange memories of the country of Liberia. By calling the number for the system (LibLine for short), the participants will be able to record voice messages with their memories, listen to the memories of others, or listen to the news from the TRC or from the country itself.
Looking for:
Participants from the country of Liberia, of Liberian descend, or having substantial knowledge of the country and of the people of Liberia.
The participants will be asked to call a dedicated phone number at their convenience over the period of three weeks. At the beginning they will be given information about the project, sign a consent form, and fill out a survey. During and after the three-week period they will be asked to describe how they used the system. The interviews (maximum of three) can be held in person or over the phone and each should be no more than 30 minutes long.
Participants in all of the interviews will receive a $20 gift card. (If participants is present for only part of the study, they will be given a $5 gift card).
"Your help will be greatly appreciated, and will help me to design a better application for use in Liberia"- Martin Bednar (student researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology)
