Movie: What are we doing here?

April 18th at 7:15 pm at the Atlanta Film Festival at the Landmark Midtown Theater

The film challenges the world's understanding of Africa, and poverty, asking the question: why is this incredible continent still impoverished after billions of dollars in foreign assistance? Filmmakers Brandon, Nicholas, Daniel and Tim Klein travel overland from Cairo-to-Cape Town, across 12 countries, transporting viewers to aid projects on the ground as they explore some of the most important (and most misunderstood) issues in the world; issues of poverty that affect hundreds of millions of people across Africa. The film goes beyond the simplified and desolate view of Africa that much of the media projects and seeks to better understand the root causes of Africa's poverty.
