President

Name: Jenny Rome
Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Fifth
E-mail:

Jenny has been looking up at the stars since she was a wee little girl. In fact, she isn't allowed to walk around at night any more since she runs into things while looking upwards. Having helped found the astronomy club four years ago, this is her third bout with officership. In between she worked for some airplane company. But airplanes are boring. Space is cool. Jenny plans to have a job title starting with astro-, whether that's astronaut, astrophysicist, or astroninja. She also enjoys camping, shiny objects, and long walks on the beach.

Vice-President

Name: Joshua Cuneo
Major: Computer Science (Certificate in Film)
Year: Seventh
E-mail:

I've been fascinated with astronomy and the study of otherworldly phenomena since I was a kid. In addition to my computer science and film studies, I've taken several courses in astronomy, optics and science fiction. I was one of the original founders of the Georgia Tech Astronomy Club (then called the SkyWatchers Amateur Astronomy Club) in the fall of 2003, and I've been involved on and off ever since. I'd love a career that's connected to the fields of astrophysics and cosmology in some way.

Secretary

Name: Michael Garner
Major: Computer Engineering
Year: Third
E-mail:

I cannot remember a time that I was not interested in the sky. My interest probably spawned from the introduction of spacey sci-fi at an early age. I love the idea that there is so much more out there than what we have here on our planet and that it's just waiting to be discovered by those who are willing to look.

Treasurer

Name: Kenneth Kinion
Major: Electrical Engineering
Year: 5th year Senior

Webmaster

Name: Carlos Rios
Major: Computational Media
Year: Third
E-mail:

The fact that I watch several science fiction television shows and movies is probably what sparked my interest in astronomy and, eventually, joining the club here at Georgia Tech. This is my first semester in the astronomy club and I'm very excited to get involved in the many activities planned and learn more about the amazing phenomena in our universe.
