I cannot remember a time that I was not interested in the sky. My interest probably spawned from the introduction of spacey sci-fi at an early age. I love the idea that there is so much more out there than what we have here on our planet and that it's just waiting to be discovered by those who are willing to look.

The fact that I watch several science fiction television shows and movies is probably what sparked my interest in astronomy and, eventually, joining the club here at Georgia Tech. This is my first semester in the astronomy club and I'm very excited to get involved in the many activities planned and learn more about the amazing phenomena in our universe.

I wouldn't have been webmaster if anyone else had wanted to be. I'm also not "really into" astronomy. I like looking at pretty pictures and finding things in the sky but I own no telescope and don't take sky pictures. I joined this club in 2004 because the people in it were cool and it did fun things. So you could say my interest in astronomy is the result rather than the cause of joining GTAC.
