Registration for the Fall 2008 Astronomy Merit Badge Clinic is now open. Thank you for your interest.

The Astronomy Merit Badge Clinic is hosted by Dr. Jim Sowell and the Georgia Tech Astronomy Club.

Join us for a chance to earn a great merit badge and visit Georgia Tech's new observatory! In addition to classroom style learning, scouts will get hands-on experience viewing stars, planets and nebulae through a telescope. Don't miss this excellent opportunity to explore the night sky!

Date: Saturday, November 15, 2008
Time: 6:00-10:00pm
Location: Howey Physics Building at Georgia Tech
Cost per scout: $10 including a pizza dinner*

*Dinner includes two slices of pizza, cookies and drink

Registration ends on November 13, and the clinic is limited to 40 scouts, so sign up now! The $10 fee will be collected at the door. Some outside work will be required to complete the merit badge.
