Boys and Girls Club

We go to the Bellwood Boys and Girls Club every Monday and Friday to play basketball, chess, softball, and other games with the kids. We also help with homework and test studying, especially for the state standardized tests in the spring, and we get to participate in fun birthday parties and group competitions!

Atlanta Community Food Bank

In the Food Bank's Product Rescue Center, volunteers inspect and pack donated food, medical supplies, and other miscellaneous items for delivery to local soup kitchens and charities.

Project Open Hand

Volunteers prepare and pack meals for needy Atlanta citizens, especially for those with special dietary needs.

Trees Atlanta

Volunteers plant trees around Atlanta to make the city a greener place to live.

Medshare International

Volunteers check and sort medical supplies for shipment to hospitals in third-world countries that have a significant need for even basic equipment.

Atlanta Tool Bank

This organization serves a wide variety of local service efforts by providing tools at little to no cost. Volunteers will help with local maintenance and painting projects, as well as the Tool Bank's warehouse clean-up days.

Crossroads Atlanta

We will be making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches after our meetings to deliver to the Commonwealth soup kitchens, which serve the homeless and needy of Atlanta.

Relay for Life

This national effort against cancer sponsors events across the country, including one for the Georgia Tech campus. We will be holding fundraisers throughout the year to benefit Relay for Life and registering a team for GT Circle K. At the event, we will have a table with games and prizes for students who donate to the cause.

UNICEF Six Cents Initiative

At the end of every club meeting, Circle K has Fun Fines, where we throw loose change at our trademark bell to be donated to the Six Cents Initiative. All proceeds go toward providing clean drinking water for people in third-world countries who have none. Many deadly diseases resulting from impure drinking water can be prevented through donations to this effort, which provides oral rehydration salts and water filters to improve the health and quality of life of these nations.
