Cannongate Membership: Urgent
After a couple of discussions with Canongate, they have brokered us a deal. Here are the stipulations: There will be no group rate if we sign up together, however they have offered $30 money back to the club for every person that signs up. In order to receive your money back, every applicant must note at the bottom of the online application that they are a part of the Georgia Tech Golf Club in the section marked
The remaining fields are optional. What school teams, clubs, or organizations are you a member of (i.e., Sorority/Fraternity, Young Republicans, Baptist Student Union, etc.)?

the checks will be given to the club and i will reimburse everyone who joins. So, essentially, the deal is now $170 instead of $200 for a one year membership and you individually are a member (no reliance on a group or anything)
This is the procedure: 1. sign up at your leisure 2. send me an email verifying that you joined (I will check this list with Canongate). 3. I will get the checks from Canongate and reimburse them accordingly
IF YOU DON'T PUT GEORGIA TECH GOLF CLUB ON THE BOTTOM OF THE APPLICATION YOU WILL NOT GET A DISCOUNT!!!!!!!!

Cannongate Membership
Hopefully everyone received my email a few weeks ago regarding the special individual student membership deal offered by canongate. For those of you that do not know, canongate is a network of 19 clubs in and around atlanta, and the membership would give you access to all of these clubs for a minimal fee. Here is the deal that they are currently offering for individual students:
*$200 initiation fee for one year of membership
*$ 8 greens fees at 19 participating clubs (all the ones around Atlanta) + optional Cart fee ($17)
* can play anytime during weekdays and only during twilight hours on the weekends (these hours change based on date)
* can make teetimes a week in advance for weekdays and 2 days in advance for weekend rounds
* unlimitate range balls and range plan
The individual deal is a great deal but I thought that as a golf club, since many of us play together on a regular basis, or even those that would like to play in a more regualr foursome, a GROUP deal would be a benefit. I have talk to the people in charge of the college student passes at canongate and they are currently working on deal for us. Of course, if it is cheaper for everyone to do it individually the whole plan is scratched, but i think as a group we could receive a pretty large discount. I do not have the details about the deal we are getting yet because i need to provide him with a number of how many people would possibly be interested
So, if you are interested in a one year group golf membership that provides you reduced greens fees and unlimited range balls at 19 clubs within 1 hour of GT, please send me your name ASAP so i can give the people i charge an estimate of how many people we would have interested in the deal.

First Practice
Our first practice will be on Tuesday, 2/3, and we will meet at the metered parking area by the student center parking deck at 4:50. I get out of class at 4:30, but will be there as soon as I can. Meet at the metered parking and then we will carpool to the range. Sorry again for the early time of practice and I promise that once the time changes back, we will move out practice times back an hour once again. Cya on tuesday.
Also, it is supposed to be nice weather this upcoming weekend. I will probably be golfing twice (Friday and Saturday/Sunday). More information is to come about the golfing.
