Coach Greg Stathis commented after the two games that the team played real well 5 of the 6 periods during the two nights. But that has been the problem most of the season with the inconsistency. With the exception of that one period, it was good effort by everyone considering the team had a five week layover and we added a few new players to the 2nd half squad. Plus we were missing our first line due to injuries and that certainly impacted the offense. Goalie Maxx Lucas did real well after the layover and kept us in both games with some very good saves. Defense still needs to limit shots to help Maxx out. This is new look GT team the 2nd half with some players coming back healthy and some new players to add some depth to the roster. Looking forward to Savannah and a chance to win the Thrashers Cup. We will be getting some our injured players back for the Savannah trip and we will give it our best shot. These were two good games for us to start the second half. We did well against an aggressive and physical ECU team and we beat a good Clemson team.
