Tech sweeps Ambush

Georgia Tech opened the second game of the series on a very strong note scoring three goals in the first period.
Pat Kelly started the scoring six minutes into the game with assists to Nick Amore and Josh Krisinger (power play goal).
The Yellow Jackets came back four minutes later on another power play goal from the defense with Austin Kasse scoring with assist to BJ Stapleton.
One minute later Drew Baker scored an unassisted goal.
UCF finally got on the scoreboard before the end of the period, but Tech took a 3-1 lead going into the 2nd period.
The Ice Knights drew within a goal in period two while keeping Tech scoreless. The score at the end of two was 3-2 GT.
Period three saw stamina and conditioning play a major role as the Jackets scored three unanswered power play goals.
Mike Zaucha, Nick Amore and Tom Porter got the goals with assist in the period from Dan Sweeney (2).
Total shots on goal went in Tech’s favor 25-18. Yellow Jacket Goalie Nick Rice had 16 saves.
