That 1-0 lead held up until Tech came back with 11 minutes left in period two on shot from Tom Porter (assist to Dan Sweeny).
The tied game didn’t last long as Tech scored another goal within the minute by Brian O’Connor with assist to Josh Krisinger and Andy DeChirico. That put the Jackets up 2-1.

Period Three saw Loyola open the scoring at the 4 minute mark with some sharp passing to take the 3-2 lead.

Both teams played close, clean hockey the balance of the game, but Tech got the winning goal on a tip in from Captain Mike Zaucha on a shot from the point by Arne Krogh. The goal came with 1:11 left in the game.
Tech out shot Loyola 39-23. Craig Tabita made 20 saves in the game.
