INITIATIVES

Kenya Project

BACKGROUND
GT AIESEC project started in Kenya in conjunction with AIESEC in Africa.  The program is called ASK (Answers, Solutions, and Knowledge around HIV/AIDS issues). The purpose is to get students to go abroad and become peer educators in the prevention of HIV/AIDS and provide other resources that the peoples of a certain country can use in those prevention efforts.

GT AIESEC proposed creating partnerships with MedShare (a company that repairs old medical equipment from local hospitals), and other companies to send the equipment off to third world developing countries. Currently the ASK program is focused in 14 African countries: Botswana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

GT NPHC is teaming up to AIESEC to raise money and collect supplies to contribute to the cause.   Stay tuned to find out how YOU can help!
