Chapter Elections

Elections should take place and be reported to the national office in the spring term. Please consider the officer descriptions when running for office. Elections should be held in accordance with the chapter constitution and dictated by the bylaws.

Election Information
Elections occur at the end of Spring semester so if you are interested in NSCS and its service commitments be sure to be active throughout the year and attend General Meetings regularly!
Officer Transitions

The officer transition period is an important time during the year for every chapter. To ensure that each chapter has a successful transition period, all chapter officer elections will take place mid-spring term. It is preferable that these elections take place early in the spring term so that the new officers can shadow the outgoing officers to learn about their position and responsibilities. The transition itself consists of a meeting/retreat and the new officers shadowing the old officers until the new officers can take office (on the last day of the spring semester finals).

Officer Retreat

This is an event between the old and new officers that takes places around the end of March (after elections), and it is meant to be a passing of the torch (traditions, information, knowledge, wisdom, etc) event.
