Spring 2000 has been an exciting semester for the Gamma Tau chapter. By the end of the summer, we will have nine brothers graduate from Georgia Tech. This marks a new beginning for our graduating brothers, and we all congratulate them and wish them the best of luck in their chosen carriers. This also marks a challenging time for the chapter as we focus on recruiting new members to fill our ranks. Fall Rush is, now, more important than ever as we have started making plans to recruit a large class. Our Rush Chairman, Sean Browning, has planned an elaborate Fall Rush. I would like to invite everybody to visit us during the Fall Rush week and help us with ideas.
The chapter had a very active semester holding out annual Redneck Rampage party as well as many other events. I enjoyed seeing all of you that came to our Founders' Day Celebration and participated in our traditional softball game. We also had several brothers participate in a Habitat for Humanity project, which they liked a lot. The semester concluded with our Graduating Senior Ceremony on Friday, April 28, and with David Eison's Graduation party "Hell Freezes Over" on Saturday, May 6.
As always, you are welcome to come by the chapter house at any time. If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to hear about the chapter please feel free to e-mail me at bbateman@templeton.gt.ed.net or call me at 404-892-6579 ext. 220. We are looking forward to a challenging Fall semester and appreciate your continued support of the Gamma Tau Chapter of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity.
