Alumni Report

Founders' Day 2000 had lower alumni attendance than previous years; perhaps one reason for this was that this year, the date for the event was set to April 8, since April 29 happened to fall on the weekend before dead week starts here at Georgia Tech.

Nevertheless, we again saw some of our favorite alumni on the cocktail party, and on the softball game the next day, where the actives won a moral victory, as usual. Afterwards, good food was enjoyed by everybody, followed by the annual alumni business meeting.

Early this semester, we completed our new online membership database. It can be accessed at http://templeton.gt.ed.net/pktdb/db.html. I'd like to use the opportunity to ask all alumni to visit the database, and make sure their record is correct. Since several alumni complained that the interface is too hard to use, I have also attached a membership record questionnaire to this newsletter; if you feel that you are uncomfortable with the online system, please fill in this form and send it to us by regular mail, email, or any other form of communication you find convenient.

This newsletter also contains a calendar of our social events. Please note that Homecoming is on October 14 and Fall rush starts on August 18 and ends on August 24. Our summer rush cook-out is on July 22. I look forward to seeing everyone during rush, Homecoming, or even sooner.
