Helpful Links for Graduate StudentsBelow are some links that may be helpful to Georgia Tech Graduate Students.
General InformationGeorgia Tech is affiliated with the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students. Their web page offers information to graduate students on issues such as employment and tax breaks for graduate students (such as IRS form 8863). The Georgia Tech Graduate Office has a web page on Graduate Studies and Research. There is information on this page about graduate fellowships with many links to organizations that award these fellowships. There is also a brief description of the Graduate Office. This office is the one in charge of paperwork for your thesis and sets the dates when your thesis and degree petitions must be turned in. On their site is the calendar for graduating and submitting your thesis. For some advice for PhD students nearing graduation Postdoctorate.net offers advice, links and a forum.
Thesis AidsSome students prefer writing their theses using LaTeX. Here is a style sheet for LaTeX for Georgia Tech's thesis format. (Warning: Check with the Graduate Office publications to ensure that the thesis format has not changed.) For more general help with LaTeX here is a general site.
