The Joint Campus Organization Committee
is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to the Legislative concerning
the status of charters of campus student organizations. Members included graduate and undergraduate students appointed.
Before a new charter is considered by the legislative bodies of Student
Government, it goes up before the Joint Campus Organization Committee (JCOC). The JCOC
makes recommendations to the legislative bodies on each charting bill.
These recommendations are based upon a set of written policies to give the
Graduate Student Senate and Undergraduate House a even slat from which to
start when considering each bill.
