World Town Planning Day - Directions

 

The World Town Planning Day luncheon with keynote and discussion panel is being held in the Presidential Suites of the Student Success Center, adjacent to the football stadium.

Directions:

 

From MARTA - Take the north/south line to N3: North Avenue. Walk west on North Avenue, crossing over the interstate, until you see Bobby Dodd Field to your right. Just past the stadium, go up the stairs under the brick archway. The Student Success Center is located up the hill, in between Tech Tower and the stadium. Upon entering the building, the Presidential Suites are straight ahead.

 

 

From the North - Take I-75/85 South to North Avenue, exit 249D. Turn right at the top of the exit ramp onto North Ave. The nearest parking to WTPD is the Burge (graduate family housing) parking deck next to the Alumni House. To access the deck, drive down North Ave and turn left into the driveway just before the pedestrian bridge. The Burge deck has an automated payment machine, and parking willl cost several dollars for the duration of the event.

 

Alternatively, you can park at the Student Center visitor parking area. This lot has an attendant and is $0.75 per half hour. Then, walk down Skiles Walkway or the southern edge of campus on Ferst Dr to get to the Student Success Center.

 

From the South - Take I-75/85N to Exit 10th/14th Street (#250).  Turn left (west) onto 10th Street at the top of the exit ramp.  Continue down 10 th Street past Fowler Street and Atlantic Drive, making a left onto State Street.   Follow State Street to Ferst Drive.  Turn right onto Ferst Drive and continue past the Campus Recreation Center and the light at Means Street.  The Student Center Lot is accessed to the left around the curve. Walk down Skiles walkway or the southern edge of campus on Ferst Dr to get to the Student Success Center.

 

From the East or West - Take I-20 to Exit I-75/85 North (#57) and follow directions "from the South".

 

Parking area map - As mentioned in the text above, the best places to park are in the metered Visitor Area 1 section of the Burge parking deck on the south side of North Ave, or at Visitor parking Area 2, next to the Student Center.
