Ramblin' Nights Tailgate Concert

SympVibes was invited to perform for the Friday night Tailgate at the Student Center Commons. Our set included some songs that will be included in our end of the semester concerts. What could have been better than eating free food and sitting down for a little SympVibes entertainment?! We would like to thank all of our fans that came out to support us!

SympVibes participated in workshops at SoJam in NC

This weekend several members from SympVibes, as well as members of Tech's Nothin' but Treble and Infinite Harmony, traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina for the 2006 SoJam southeast a cappella festival. Now Recording for our 2nd CD

SympVibes has a goal to release its 2nd Studio CD in Spring '08. We started recording tracks at our 2006 Fall Semester Retreat and will continue recording and editing tracks until the end of Fall '07 semester.

ICCA semifinals competition at Wake Forest was a blast!

On March 25th, 2006, SympVibes traveled once again to compete in the semifinals round of ICCA's at Wake Forest University. FSU's All-Night Yahtzee moved on to the finals that will be held in NY April 29th, 2006. We had a blast performing and heard some other awesome college groups with their own unique styles. However, your SympVibes are becoming known more across the southeast as a fun and entertaining a cappella group!!!

ICCA competition at FSU a success!

On January 21st, 2006, SympVibes went down to Florida State University and competed in the Southeast Regional ICCA (International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella) Competition. We placed 3rd out of 5 collegiate groups, securing a spot for us in the Semifinals competition at Wake Forest University on March 25th! Wish us luck as we prepare!!

Auditions every semester

SympVibes holds open auditions during the 1st or 2nd week of classes each semester. These are usually held in the Couch Building. If you are interested in auditioning next semester, then look for information or contact someone in the group! We usually have individual auditions, consisting of short solo, some scales to check your range, tonal memory, and a brief sightreading exercise. The solo can be something you'd hear on the radio or your favorite song, but no musical theater please. Callbacks are later in the week, and there you'll get a chance to hang out and sing with the group.

Auditions are really low-pressure and we try to make them as fun for everybody as possible. Come on out; I promise you'll have a good time. For more information please see our Audition Criteria page or contact David Hubbard.
