Communication on Georgia Tech centers around two things, your Email and your physical mail. Of these, the official point of contact between the school and the student is Email. It is required by the school that students check their Email at least twice a day. Your physical mail is the next major contact with the school, any refund checks or things which must be physical are relayed in this way. In my time at Tech I have yet to have my phone ring for any Academic reasons. Professors contact you through Email, sending you notice of class changes or cancellations, grade reports or answering questions you might have. So as you can see, Email is the key for communicating with the school.
