Spring Tournament - February 23, 2008 (Register Now)

The normal practice schedule is now in place.  All members will practice only with their team at the designated times (see practice times below).  The current team placement is tentative; all members should come to practice showing maximum effort and commitment.

Spring Tryouts

We will not hold spring tryouts, if you wish to join the club, just email us for information or simply show up during the B Team practice times.  Any new members may practice with the B Team, and depending on their skill may be asked to join the A Team.

The tryouts will show you what our club is all about, and you will see very quickly where you stand.  If you have played before, then compete for a place on the A-Team.  Even if you are unfamiliar with competitive volleyball but are interested in learning, you’re still welcome; this will be your first practice.  If possible, you need to be there for both days.  Afterwards everyone will be tentatively placed on a team.  (Final team placement can only be set after a few weeks of evaluation.) 

Are you interested in Competitive Sand Volleyball? If so, email us. The idea of a competitive sand team has been proposed, but we need to know if there is interest, and more importantly if there are enough experienced players that could keep it organized.

Beginners - learn the skills and strategy of a competitive volleyball team
Experienced - better yourself and your team for competition at the national level

This club’s interest is to promote competitive volleyball at Georgia Tech and our community, through both an A-Team, training and competing at a high level, and a B-Team, training at a beginner to intermediate level, as well as competing in nearby competitions. 

Everyone is welcome to tryout, but prior experience or excellent athletic ability plus willingness to learn the sport is ideal.

We compete in tournaments (3-4 per semester) in the Southeast Region, as well as the National Tournament in April.

PRACTICE TIMES:

A-Team: Sunday 12-2pm, Monday 9-11pm

B-Team: Monday 7-9pm, Thursday 9-11pm

Each practice is held at the CRC.
