Sorry...
We wish everyone could
join the Yellow Jacket Flying Club, but then that would kinda
go against the idea of a club for the Georgia Tech community.
And given the choice, wouldn't EVERYONE join the YJFC?
Still, we encourage you to look into other options to get a start
in aviation...you'll never find anything nearly so rewarding.
Everyone should look into the GA Team 2000's web site,
www.beapilot.com. This is
a consortium of groups that are interested in assuring that General
Aviation's future in the US is as glorious as its past.
An additional resource if you're interested in learning to fly
is the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, at www.aopa.org.
They are part of the GA Team 2000, and can answer just about anything
you can come up with.
In the Atlanta
Area...
If you live in the
Atlanta area, you can find out directly what services are available
at local airports by looking up the airports themselves on YJFCer
Paulo Santos' AIRNAV. Try here for Atlanta-area
airports. Atlanta has several highly-regarded flight training
organizations, but unfortunately few flying clubs that offer the
benefits of the YJFC.
